AFFORDABLE BOOK TRAILERS

Something I hear a lot about social media marketing is, “I don’t want to bother people by posting too often.” But the basic tenet of social media is “content drives engagement and followers.” Don’t be worried about “bothering people.” It’s okay if some people un-follow you, to be replaced by those who want to hear from you often, and are engaged. Those are your super fans, the ones you want!
What good does it do you if someone follows you but doesn’t want to hear from you?
Having followers who don’t want to hear from you is like having someone in your address book who doesn’t want you to call them. What’s the point?
If you have some real world friends who follow you and complain if you post too often, it’s okay, tell them that this is what’s needed to succeed on social media and let them un-follow you and keep the friendship to the real world – these are not your target audience. Social media is a means of reaching new people and to do that, you need to post often.

I’m not saying bombard people with hard sales, “Buy my book, buy my book,” but content that shows who you are and the contents of your book. There are many ways of doing this and it’s part and parcel of creating a comprehensive marketing campaign. You can’t be on tenterhooks, just do your thing and put word out there in a big way! Do you and be you!
No one ever got anywhere by being “careful” about their marketing. Even Hollywood actors have to go on world tours, press junkets, attend film festivals, and much more. You have to shout it from the roof tops!
